Scar formation following injury is a common problem that causes aesthetic distress and functional problems for those afflicted. Recently, pharmacological intervention of scar-promoting cellular activities has gained traction based on the emerging scientific evidence proving efficacy and safety of new therapeutics in preclinical studies.
