Be highly esteemed/ thought of = be greatly admired, especially by a large number of people: ‘His work is highly thought of in the world of fashion.’
Assess = Estimate or determine the nature, value, quality, ability, extent, or significance of: ‘Parents should be shown how to assess the quality of a school.’ ‘The committee must assess the issue carefully before acting.’
