When actually means ‘in fact’, it is used to correct a misunderstanding: ‘People think we’ve got lots of money, but actually we’re quite poor.’ When you simply want to develop a previous statement, use in fact or as a matter of fact: ‘The winter of 1940 was extremely bad. In fact most people say it was the worst winter in living memory.’ When you mean ‘at the present time’, use at present, at the moment currently (NOT actually) : ‘At present the company is very short of staff.’ ‘At the moment I’m working part-time in a travel agency.’
